再接再厲！作品這次登上了三月份將在法國出刊的NBA雜誌 REVERSE Magazine!!!! 

這次是該雜誌的第40期，也是特別紀念版，封面為年輕的MJ，而內文以單頁的方式訪問我一些關於創作及NBA的想法，並介紹了我的作品！編輯還幫我下了一個很酷的標題 "THE RH FACTOR" 「羅傑元素」！編輯來信邀約時表示很賞我的作品，想要介紹給法國的讀者知道，並問了我一些很有趣的問題。

＊Where does your passions for the NBA and drawing come from?

I graduated from college of fine art, and I learned drawing skill there. I love to draw and create new things. On the other hand, basketball is my favorite sport. I like the way NBA players dribble up and slam dunk. They always exhibit passion and hunger for the game. Therefore I feel there is something positive that I can learn from the court when people are watching the game. That' why I trying to put visual art and NBA together to create something energetic and emotional. I Hope my works can leave nothing but energy to people's life.

＊Who are your main inspirations when it comes to drawing?

If you ask me this question a year ago, I would say Allen Iverson. He is the most creative player I have ever seen. But now, I would say Jeremy Lin is the guy who inspires me to face challenge and keep drawing new things. Just like his "LINSANITY" story-Never give up and the chance will come to you.

＊How did you get the idea to use NBA players in your work?

I have been to New York Madison Square Garden to watch an NBA game in 2010. The live game was first and only experience I have. So it really impressed me at the moment. When I came back home, I decided to draw some illustrations about NBA. The idea just came from the game, the experience, and the trip in New York.

＊There's a strong "comics" feel to you work, did the idea of depicting NBA players as superheroes come naturally?

Yes, that's my intent to combine sport players with superhero comics. I am trying to use NBA player's story as a big Motif to recreate new implication. After all, comics and hero's legend always can attract people's eyes.

＊Which player do find to be the most challenging when it comes to drawing?

I think Michael Jordan is the hardest player to draw. I am too young to his period. Also I couldn't find an appropriate way to describe his talent, his powerful influence, and his miracle story.

＊What is you process like when you sart working on a new project?

I start it by watching basketball news and magazines usually; then grabbing the events and stories I was interested to, adding my conscious to create works. In addition I love to connect different concepts together, such as animals with players or zombies with players.

＊How popular is the NBA in Taiwan?

In Taiwan, the most popular sport is baseball, then basketball. The basketball fans here in Taiwan really are crazy about NBA. NBA is too popular to nobody follows our league; everyone follows the NBA. Also 3 on 3 in basketball court is easy to pick up and join, most people love doing that exercise with random teammates.

＊Did Jeremy Lin make an impact with his strong play last season? Is he a star over there?

Of course, he did. Every sport channel on TV broadcast every NY Knicks games last year and Houston Rockets games this season. When he came to Taiwan last summer, he was just like a super rock star. Even grandma and little kid all love him. We are so proud and happy to see him progress every day and win a place of his own.

＊What can we expect from you in the years to come?

I will still make sport artworks and search opportunities to provide my talent to anyone who’s interested in my works. Like these Reverse Magazine did, a good project introduced my work to French. I hope you all love it, cheers!

＊你對NBA與繪畫的熱情來自於哪裡？

我從美術學院裡學得繪畫技巧，並熱衷于創作與繪畫；同時籃球是我最愛的運動，我喜歡看NBA球員在場上揮汗競爭，他們總是渴望贏勝利，我認為我們可以從比賽中感受到一股正面的力量，所以我將視覺藝術與籃球運動做結合，試圖展現感染力與活力，並希望它能帶給人們一些想象與正面思考。

＊誰啓發了你的創作？

如果這個問題你在一年前問我，我會說是Allen Iverson，他是我見過最有創造力的球員，但是現在我會說是林書豪啓發了我，他讓我看見面對挫折的勇氣，並提醒了我不要放棄繪畫，就像「林來瘋」的故事一樣，不要放棄你鍾愛的，機會必將來到。

＊你是怎麼想到把NBA球員放入你的作品之中？

在2010年曾經去過一次紐約麥迪遜花園廣場觀看NBA比賽，那是第一次也是唯一的一次。那次經歷的讓我印象深刻，我回家後就一直思考著怎麼結合NBA與繪畫，這個想法就源自於那場比賽及那趟紐約之旅。

＊你的作品裡有很強烈的「漫畫感」，把NBA球員英雄化這個概念從何而來？
是的，我試圖結合NBA球員與超級英雄漫畫，我會把NBA發生的各種故事當成一個母題，從中去擷取挑選過的元素，再以我的想法重新闡釋。畢竟，英雄主題總是會吸引人們的目光。

＊畫哪一個球員是最有挑戰性的？
我覺得 Michael Jordan 是最難畫的，我沒經歷到他的巔峰時代，我目前還找不到一個適合的表現方法去演繹他的偉大、才能及影響力。

＊你都怎麼開啓一個創作主題？
我通常都從新聞或雜誌截取感興趣的事件，然後把我的意識想法加入其中，此外，我喜歡混搭不一樣的概念，像是結合動物與球員，或是結合殭屍與球員。

＊籃球在台灣流行嗎？
台灣最受喜愛的運動是棒球，再來才是籃球。台灣的籃球愛好者通常都非常的喜愛觀賞NBA，以至於台灣的職業籃球聯盟較少人關注。3對3則是很多人喜歡的休閒運動，因為它很容易在球場上組隊參與，人們也很樂意與隨機的隊友一起打球。

＊林書豪上季有令人印象深刻的表現，他在台灣是個球星嗎？
毫無疑問，是的！每一臺體育頻道上一季都在大力放送紐約尼克隊的比賽，這季則是瘋狂播放休士頓火箭隊的比賽。林書豪去年夏天來台灣時，他簡直就像個搖滾巨星，從小嬰兒到老奶奶都愛他。他在球隊中終於贏得了屬於他的位置，我們都很替他感到開心。

＊可以期待你接下來有什麼樣的計劃？
我會繼續畫運動相關的主題，並持續尋找機會提供我的專才給喜歡我作品的人，就像貴雜誌所做的事一樣，把我介紹給法國的NBA讀者，希望你們會喜歡！
